So you think you don’t have time to make a delicious home-cooked dinner. Well, think again.
I know what you are thinking, Martha Stewart, easy?? Yeah right! But you know, I was pleasantly surprised at how quick and easy this recipe was to make. I came across this recipe online, Sautéed Chicken in Mustard-Cream Sauce, and tested it out last night. I began cooking at about 7:00 PM and was sitting down and eating by 7:30 and that included making two sides to go with it.
It was also quite inexpensive. The ingredients include chicken breast, salt, pepper, white wine or chicken broth (I used a $2 chardonnay from Trader Joe’s), heavy cream, Dijon mustard and tarragon. I already had most of the ingredients at home, but needed some cream, mustard and spinach to go with the dish so, being the thrifty gal I am, I stopped off at the local dollar store and got these three items for $3.
I made some oven potatoes and sautéed spinach to go with it. I paired this dish with a glass of Chenin Blanc. It was delicious. Here’s the link to the recipe.
Enjoy!
