Our feet are so incredibly important, yet we rarely treat them like it. Our soles take a beatin' day in and day out and seldom do we take the time to pamper them. A do-it-yourself pedicure is a great way to undwind at the end of your Monday. So let's get started.
For the perfect pedicure, start by soaking your feet in a hot basin of water for at least 5 minutes. Once your feet have soaked, grab a pumice stone and begin working away at those rough dry areas and calluses. Finish this process with a good foot exfoliator, a mint one is great for rejuvenating those sore tired feet (my favorite: Foot Scrub Therapeutic Exfoliator by Earth Therapeutics). When finished, rinse your feet off and pat dry. You can follow this up with a relaxing foot mask. For a soothing and cooling sensation try using the Tea Tree Oil Foot Mask by Earth Therapeutics. Leave the foot mask on for about 30 minutes. Once it has dried, peal it off and you should have noticeably smoother feet. Apply a generous amount of your favorite foot lotion and put on some thick cotton socks. For dry feet that require more intense moisturizing, wear socks overnight. When you awake in the morning, your tootsies should be good as new.
